Rapper Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, has pleaded not guilty to four felony charges, including three counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer, after allegedly charging at police while walking naked on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City last week.

Police arrested the 26-year-old on August 21, 2025, around 6 a.m., after reports of him walking unclothed on the busy street.

Authorities allege he used force and caused injury to three officers during the confrontation.

Suspecting a possible overdose, police took Hill to a hospital before transferring him to jail, where he remains on $75,000 bail, conditional on attending drug treatment.

His attorney, Christy O’Connor, called the incident an “aberration” in his “remarkable” life, citing his two Grammy wins for “Old Town Road.”

Hill faces up to 12 years in prison if convicted. His next pre-trial hearing is set for September 15, 2025.

Known for his genre-blending hit “Old Town Road,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for a record 19 weeks, Hill has been a trailblazer, notably as an openly gay Black artist from Atlanta.
